KINETIC is a progressive metal band from Kolding, Denmark, emerging with a sound that bridges technical precision, atmospheric depth, and cinematic storytelling. Formed in 2022, the band was built on a shared ambition to create music that moves beyond convention—both musically and conceptually.

Drawing inspiration from progressive heavyweights while carving out a distinct sonic identity, KINETIC blends intricate compositions with expansive, immersive soundscapes. With the members; David Thing (Guitarist), Christian F. Heitmann (Bass), Marcus Levin (Synth), René Hougaard (Vocals), and Rune Görlitz (Drums), KINETIC solidify a lineup capable of translating their ambitious ideas into a cohesive and compelling live and studio experience. Each member contributes to a collective vision where technicality serves the atmosphere, and songwriting remains at the core creating KINETIC’s unique sound.

Following the release of their well received debut EP Sentience in 2025, which offered a first glimpse into the band’s evolving sound, KINETIC is releasing a full-length concept album Liminal. The new material represents the same grandiose and spacey sound heard on Sentience but takes the music a step further forward—refining their musical identity while pushing into both heavier and more ambient territories. It is an album shaped by contrast: tension and release, chaos and control, the vastness of space and the intimacy of human thought.

Now signed to Eclipse Records, KINETIC stands at the threshold of a broader international audience. With a clear artistic direction and a commitment to crafting immersive musical journeys, the band is poised to establish itself as a notable force within the modern progressive metal landscape.
